Course Description

Thursday September 19th at 1:00pm to Sunday September 22nd noon Join us for four blissful days of yoga, hiking, canoeing, firepit lounging, sauna-ing, meditation, forest bathing, crafts, and time to chill out. Enjoy healthful, vegetarian meals prepared by Chef Merkl. Explore the 300 acres of grounds, complete with hiking trails and a lake for swimming. Rest, turn off your phone, and give your body, mind and spirit what it really needs. We are so looking forward to enjoying peaceful time with you. The retreat will be held for the 7th year at Circle Pines Center, which teaches peace, social justice, and environmental stewardship through cooperation in work, education, and recreation. Located a three-hour drive away in Delton, Michigan, Circle Pines Center has a variety of lodgings to make a variety of budgets work (including pitching your own tent.) Lots of photos of the space are available at The theme of this year's retreat is the yamas and niyamas, or the ethical precepts that form the foundation of yoga. There are normally three yoga classes per day, one before breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meditation is scheduled after lunch. There are also workshops in the morning after breakfast, as well as a special restorative class on Friday night and a bonfire at the beach on Saturday. All activities are completely optional. All meals and activities are included in the price. Double and triple accomodations in the main lodging building (Swallows) or individual heated cabins (Orchards) are $620 per person. Camping cabins (Juniors) are available for $410 per person, or pitch your own tent for the same price. In order to make the retreat as safe as possible for as many people as possible, you'll be required to sign a document stating your intent to adhere to community agreements, which will include committing to: Respect people's pronouns Refrain from cultural appropriation Refrain from perpetuating diet culture or talking about bodies in a way that values their size, shape or appearance Respect silent spaces A $100 deposit (refundable until June 1) saves your space, or email us for more information.

Cancellation Policy

Classes - If a cancellation is completed at least one hour before the class starts, the class will be placed back in your account. If not, the class will be forfeited. Courses and Workshops - There is no refund for courses and workshops. Email us if there are extreme extenuating circumstances.
