Course Description

Want to build body awareness and strength in a respectful and engaging environment? Mindful Movement offers inclusive, fitness-based movement for all bodies, identities, and experiences. In this class, you have permission to exist in your body as you are. By connecting with and listening to your self, we hope that you discover body kindness, appreciate, safety and love. We are keenly aware that for many people, exercise has been strongly linked with diet culture. In this class, you will learn to develop awareness of your body and its movement needs, perhaps shifting your relationship with exercise entierely in the process. There will be zero talk about diets, food, weight loss, pushing into pain, etc. Our focus is on helping you learn what your body can do when presented with the opportunity to love safely and intentionally. Instructor Erica Heath is a personal trainer and yoga teacher who will meet you where you are. She offers the right balance of encouragement, modifications, and structure to help you become energized, stronger, and more at ease. All movements are low-impact, and are done standing/seated or on the floor. How It Works --Students purchase package of 4 classes that you have 6 weeks to use. --You must sign up for class 24 hours before it begins, so by Monday at 5pm. if there are no sign-ups we will take the class off the schedule for that week. --Once you have paid for your 4-class pack, there are no cancellations, refunds, or changes. You cannot transfer to another student, or defer to another month. In the event of serious illness, contact us. --Sessions will run the first four weeks of the month, so if there is a month with four Tuesdays (for example), you will only meet the first four. --All equipment is provided, except please bring a yoga mat. Come in comfortable clothes ready to move and probably sweat. As usual, no shoes in the studio.

Cancellation Policy

Regularly Schedule Classes: If you cancel your registration/remove yourself from the class roster at least one hour before class starts, the class will be returned to your account. Within one hour of class starting, it is considered a late cancellation and your class will be forfeited. Email us if there are extraordinary circumstances so we can help you. Workshops: There is no refund for workshops unless specifically stated otherwise in the workshop description. Sometimes you can transfer your spot to another student, so contact us to see if that is possible. Email us if there are extraordinary circumstances so we can help you.
