Thank you, God For the perfect practice of Yoga And for the immense inner peace I have received from my practice. And as I practice, please help me Not to curse when I fall out of tree pose When everyone in class is nailing it, And help me not to self-congratulate When I kick ass in my Warrior II. Because, face it, I’m great at it And everyone else looks like a freak show. And, God help me if that uber bendy one Shows up in class all perky again Because I swear I will have to take her out With my immensely inner peaceful ways. Thank you again, God For the perfect practice of Yoga And though I am not perfect, I can now touch my toes And that, my friend, is awesome.
